MS Amadea cruise ship is a vessel owned by Amadea Shipping Company and managed under charter by the Phoenix Reisen company, which is based in Germany. She was originally launched in 1991 by the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan as MS Asuka cruise liner for Nippon Yusen Kaisha. In 2006 she was sold to her current owners and entered service with Phoenix Reisen cruise ship company.
There are 2 distinct dining venues that offer convenience of the guests, and are spacious. There are 2 different breakfast seating’s offered, lunch is served buffet-style and the dinner is a-la-carte, after-dinner snacks are served. Coffee is served during the evening hours. The dining venues' menu is international, and might or might not include some local kitchen. The more casual of the 2 offers outside restaurants, weather-permitting.
Cabins range in size from 183 square feet to 646 square feet. Staterooms feature beds that convert to couches, TV's, mini-bars, fridges, phones and storage cupboards. Some of the cabins feature a bathtub as well as a shower. The staterooms are being cleaned two times daily and the staff can respond to any problems promptly.
